Women undoubtedly have been playing an indispensable role in society. We are slowly moving away from a patriarchal society; however, it would take time before people especially men accept, adapt, and change. It’s the high time since men and women realised that they are different from each other and accept those differences. "Men and Women are not same but equal" With patriarchy came slavery and it, in fact, was never abolished as it continually evolved into modern forms – bonded labour, forced marriage. Male chauvinism took roots. Women and children were supposed to be subservient and obedient. Male Chivalry had a part to play back in those days making women think they need a man for everything though chivalry has become a bit romanticised now.
