A Romanticist's Flash Fiction
Here are five romantic flash fictions - well it sounded romantic at least when I wrote it.
1
She smiled. Her pink lips curved; her rosy cheeks glowed. An
irresistible, tender, captivating smile on her face, spontaneously puts up a
smile on mine too. She carries her smile around like a weapon that kills at
sight.
How did I
fall in love? She smiled. She just smiled.

The wind pushed her hair on her face. She brushed the hair falling
on her face aside. Her shoulders bore the tender weight of her graceful hair.
She moved closer to me, now the wind blowing her delicate hair
on my face.
I sensed her
lush hair gliding past my velvety skin slowly which made my eyes close
inadvertently. I felt the exhilarating fragrance of her hair intoxicating as it
brushed past my nose.
The train whistled as it came to a stop and so did the
blowing wind.
“Envious wind and the train “, I scorned.

We sat in the garden surrounded by beautiful and bright flowers.
Its petals swayed as the cool evening breeze blew past it.
Her rosy slender fingers nudged the white fragrant petals.
The flower seemed to dip down in embarrassment as her fingers
made contact. The dew dropped from the petals and hit the moist soil.
My garden looked ravishing and elegant than ever before because it
now had the flower it was missing.

“She brushed
aside the strand of hair falling on her face while her yellow earrings glowed
only lesser than her radiant face. “
“Her creamy
cheeks outshined the sun that was playing hide and seek with us and I could
hear her gleaming eyes talk as I remained transfixed by her elegant eyes, the
eyes that her eyelids had been hiding all along.”
She blushed
as she read it, brushing her hair past her face the same way.
I bent and
kissed her on the forehead.
My book was
finally out and she was reading the first copy.

We came home drained and weary from office. I dropped down on
the sofa and she hurried to kitchen to prepare us dinner. I asked her to wait
so that we would make dinner together.
The door bell rung.
“Honey, here’s your favourite thin crust cheese pizza with
all the toppings you love and sandwiches loaded with extra cheese” I entered
into the kitchen.
The table was already set with a candle in the middle along
with a plate of freshly baked choco chip muffins and a lemon mint shake – my favourites.
“Happy Anniversary Honey!” She greeted with tears.
